Agricultural Business Opportunities with Iran's membership
in the Eurasian Union
Creating a united economic atmosphere, developing common
markets and achieving free movement, promoting healthy competition in the
common market, which will result in the use of trade tariffs, investment
opportunities and facilitation of economic relations with EU countries, tariff
discounts for exporters to Eurasian Economic Union and competition for Iranian
goods, are some objectives of the Eurasian Economic Union. Shajari also added: Strengthening
Iran's prominent role in the North-South international transport corridor is
also one of the benefits of Iran's membership in the union.
He mentioned that: This
agreement has three separate sections, including: the text, the list of
industrial commodities and the list of agricultural commodities, which will be
effective from October 29th 2019.
Shajari added: Iran's agricultural exports to the Russian
Federation, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Belarus have included apple
tree products, vegetable varieties, grapes, oranges, raisins, dates and kiwi.
The main exports to Kazakhstan included apple, vegetables
and raisins, raisins, dates, kiwi and pistachios and chickens. The Director
General of the export development office of the Ministry of Jihad-Agriculture reminded:
