Iran hosts World Animal Health Summit in 2023

 

The head of the country's veterinary organization said: Iran was selected to host the World Animal Health Summit in Asia, Oceania and Far East in 2023.

According to the information center of the Ministry of Jihad-Agriculture, quoted by IRNA, Alireza Rafiee-pour, today among reporters said that Iran will host the World Animal Health Organization's Summit on Asia, Oceania and the Far East in 2023, and added: Iran hosted the event in 2011, and Iran’s hosting in 2023 was welcomed by all regional members.

 
 
 

 

The head of the country's veterinary organization, who attended as Secretary-General for the Asia-Pacific and Far East in the summit, held in Japan, told: The region of Asia, Oceania and the Far East has special features, compared with other continents, and there are two continents as well as two most populous countries in the world, including India and China in this region, where half of the world’s population are located in the Asia, Oceania, and the Far East that is very important for international institutions, such as the World Animal Health Organization in terms of food security in the region.
